Iced Matcha Latte

Matcha whisked with warm water and maple syrup, poured over ice and unsweetened almond milk. Sift the powder first so the tea comes out smooth.

Use warm water, not boiling: water that is too hot turns matcha bitter. A small whisk or a milk frother works if you do not have a bamboo whisk. Any milk will do in place of the almond milk; oat milk gives a creamier drink. A second teaspoon of maple syrup makes a sweeter drink.
