Chocolate Banana Overnight Oats

Rolled oats, Greek yogurt and chia set overnight with cocoa and vanilla until thick. Mix it the night before and slice the banana on top in the morning.

The chia seeds do the thickening: they swell in the milk and yogurt and hold the oats in a spoonable set, so keep them in. Cocoa powder clumps in cold liquid, so stir until no dry streaks remain before you seal the jar. Nonfat Greek yogurt gives a thick result; a thinner yogurt gives a looser one. Slice the banana just before eating, because cut banana browns and softens in the jar.
